Fabulous Events Charity Sponsorship Awards

Every  year Fabulous Events sponsors 3-4 charitable events. Sponsorship is typically done in the form of providing chair covers, specialty linens and napkins for the event.

Our committee has met for the 2012 submissions and selected 4 charities to sponsor. With over 200 entries, the decisions were tough. The following are the charities and event dates we are sponsoring for 2012.

The Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse – They will be hosting The Blue Suede Spectacular Dinner and Auction on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in downtown Jackson, Tennessee.

Woman 2 Woman Breast Cancer Foundation -  The 5th annual Pink Diamond Ball, which is the cornerstone event for the Woman2Woman Breast Cancer Foundation, will be held March 24, 2012 at the Renaissance Plantation Hotel, Plantation, Florida.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) – The Indianapolis  Promise Gala will celebrate its 15th anniversary on May 19, 2012 at  the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.

Keeping Kids in the Game – A benefit for children’s health and youth baseball hosted by the 2012 Detroit Tigers Baseball to be held in August 2012. Official date TBD.

Fabulous Events acquires another specialty linen company

Last week, Fabulous Events finalized the deal to purchase the assets from another specialty linen company. With this, we will be introducing almost 40 new colors of Matte Satin linens, pillowcase chair covers and sashes as well as many other specialty linens. In order to make sure you receive the quality you expect, we will be inspecting all of the new inventory over the next month prior to renting any of it. As we do so, we will be adding the items to our website. We are very excited about the acquisition and believe you will be too! 2011 ALCS at Comerica Park

Last week we had the privilege of being part of the 2011 American League Championship Series at Comerica Park. Fabulous Events has been a partner with Comerica Park, The Detroit Tigers and DNC Sportservice for many years now. While our Detroit Tigers did not make it to the World Series, we did have a great year. Nevertheless, the Major League Baseball parties each evening were incredible. Many hours were put in preparing for the parties that took place after each game. We want to thank everyone involved for a terrific time! The staff at the events went above and beyond to make sure that each guest had a memorable time. The Tiger Club brought out food to tantalize your taste buds each night. Fabulous Events displayed a different variety of linens each night to compliment the 2011 ALCS logo. This included shades of blue, yellow, orange and greens. It is and has always been a pleasure to get photographs of the linens from our clients past events. Today I received an email from a wonderful client by the name of Annmarie Therriault, the owner of Couture Bridal Co in East Greenwhich, RI.
Couture strives to truly be a one stop Bridal and Event Resource. Couture offers a full service bridal salon, as well as all bridal and event accessories. Couture also offers a wide variety of Event Rentals and Services. Annmarie sent us pictures from a recent event done at The Ocean Cliff in Newport, RI. The event featured our Apple Green Lotus Sheer. Fabulous Events Charitable Contributions

Last evening Fabulous Events had the privilege of sponsoring the 3rd Annual "Keeping Kids in The Game" fundraiser by providing all the linens for the event. This is our 3rd year as a sponsor and we look forward to many years to come. This Star Studded event was hosted by Tigers All Stars Miguel Cabrera and Carlos Guillen. In addition to Cabrera and Guillen, many other Tigers All Stars made a point of attending this event.

All the proceeds from the $250 per ticket price will go to support children’s health and youth baseball programs facilitated by the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities, Fundación Chamos Venezolanos, a charity established by Amelia and Carlos Guillen and Fundación Miguel Cabrera, a charity being established by Rosangel and Miguel Cabrera.

The children were invited through the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and they were sponsored by numerous Tigers players, who will visit with, pose for pictures, and sign autographs for the patients.

Fabulous Events joins Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce

This week Fabulous Events joined the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce. Fabulous Events has been a part of the Waterford community since 2003. Since that time, we have employed many individuals in and around our community. While we are a nationwide rental company, we are a Hometown company as well. Waterford is OUR hometown and we are pround to be part of it. Fabulous Events specializes in Chair Cover and Table linen rentals, so stop by our showroom on Crescent Lake Road to check out what we have to offer.

McDonald’s 365Black Awards

Last week we had the honor of providing the linens for the 8th Annual McDonald’s 365Black Awards. This event took place at the Ernest C. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Fabulous Events teamed up with Pam Taylor, President of The MAP Group, Inc., to dress this event up in style. The 2011 honorees included Mary J. Blige, Ruby Dee, Catherine L. Hughes, Benjamin Jealous and Civil Rights Activist Hank Thomas.
We feautured 2 of our new products from our Crop Circles Line, the Red/Orange and the Gold. Both of these linens are produced with French Seams and completely reversible to give you 2 looks per linen.
Needless to say, the event was a hit and the guests left more than satisfied. Hey, they even got to hang out with Ronald McDonald. To find out more about this event, visit the McDonald’s 365Black Awards website.
